In our second album we venture, once again, into the world of classical music by deconstructing and constructing anew some of our favourite pieces. It is like a romance between composed and improvised music, or between the so-called "art" music and "jazz".
Among the composers we chose our starting point this time are Bela Bartok, Alexander Scriabin, Bronius Kutavičius, Liudas Mockūnas and Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. We interpret their works and improvise around them, walking both trodden and yet undiscovered paths.
At certain moments in this album you can also catch a glimpse of our beloved McCoy Tyner whose sound world inevitably echoes that of John Coltrane. These two, like all other sounding musicians and composers on this album, have flown or are flying towards the flame of creation. Vers la flamme.
